Education

Education is the stepping stone to a better  society and brighter future. The Government has taken measures since  independence for improving the level of education. Much has been done, but a  lot remains to be achieved. Moreover, with the change in the international  perspective and adaptation of the SDGs, improvement in the quality of education  becomes imperative. SDG(4) calls for the States to make provision to ensure  inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities  for all.

AGAM works extensively with the kids who are the future of the nation. Our belief is that if the students are educated holistically, the menaces of the society shall diminish eventually.
Our objectives –

  • To provide quality education through Centres run by AGAM across rural India.
  • To assist the government in the implementation of various education-related schemes.
  • To help the government achieve its objective enshrined under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
  • To help the government in assessing the quality of education imparted in the schools being run presently.
  • To provide research-based inputs for strategic intervention towards improving education in India.
  • To collaborate with agencies (private and governmental & both national, international, or others) for improving quality of education in India.
To provide strategic solutions to companies for utilising CSR funds towards improving the level and the quality of education in rural India.

Our Efforts
AGAM Quality Education Initiative & Gram Shiksha and Suchana Kendra (GSSK)

Realising that education is one of the potent tools to human development and that the SDGs enumerate provision for education as one of the pillars, our mission is to provide Quality Education in rural areas of the country. Our project on education has started from Uttar Pradesh and we hope to replicate the model here to other States eventually. We are committed to providing basic education without compromising with the quality. We believe that education is the common link that has the capacity to address socio-economic problems such as unemployment, human rights, population control, healthcare etc. to name a few. It is a well-established fact that education is both the means as well as the end to a better life because it not only empowers a person to earn his or her livelihood, but it also increases awareness on various issues that exist in India. This ultimately enhances the level of human resource and creates responsible citizenry.

AGAM Quality Education Initiative focuses on school going children aged between 5 to 16 years. We strive to make learning a multi-dimensional activity at our Gram Shiksha and Suchana Kendra (GSSK). The project is a continuous one and it will take years before concrete results of our project comes to the fore. We regularly test our students and promote quality learning that would not only improve performance of the participating children but also inculcate creative thinking and ideas.

We are currently running two Gram Shiksha and Suchna Kendra (GSSKs) with the help of our donors and wellwishers in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh in the village Babhniyawan & Darjipurwan.
