Environment Protection

Environment Protection
Climate change is for real. Our earth is experiencing unexpected change in our environment. Global warming has devastating effects. Breathing in some of the metropolitan cities in India and the world is more injurious than smoking. Throughout the world people are facing water scarcity. Some of the Indian cities are in worst situations in terms of access to safe drinking water.
All these environmental issues needs immediate attention of people. As a Civil Society Organization, AGAM has taken an initiative to aware people at the grass root level about the water crisis the world is facing. The behavioral change of individuals in their day-to-day life is the main key factor that can have a greater impact in this direction.
Our objectives in this direction includes –

  • To promote education and awareness related to environment and wild-life conservation, also management of natural resources.
  • Prevent environmental destruction, accelerate plantation for the smooth operation with regard to environmental protection.
  • To operate vigilant revolution on environmental pollution caused by urban wastes, industrial wastes, hospital wastes etc.
  • Making proper systemic arrangements to dispose the wastes which are harmful for the environment.
  • To establish research in the areas of environmental protection in the higher educational institutions.
  • To develop a self-managing system for environment protection in communities and society.
  • To help, arrange and assist massive programs of forestation and the plantation.

Our Efforts
Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan

As envisioned by our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, AGAM regularly conduct cleanliness drive in villages and different other nearby locations of our AGAM centres on different occasions including Gandhi Jayanti.
We organize awareness camps in remote villages to raise awareness among the common masses regarding the issue and sensitize people about the same to have a change in their attitude and behavior towards the issue.

World Environment Day

Each and every year we celebrates World Environment Day on 5th of June at our Gram Shiksha and Suchna Kendra (GSSK). Students at our centre gives social message to the people of villages to protect the environment, appropriate use of water and other natural resources, to plant more trees, to use environment friendly products etc. through their paintings, speeches and the awareness rally by the students themselves. The various competitions viz. painting, speech, slogan etc. not only changes the children’s thinking towards the environment but also helps to build a better and responsible future generation.
